Don't wait for the news, drive it

Our Contributing Editors subscription was launched less than two weeks ago but it's already having a massive impact on the news cycle. If you're a Contributing Editor and have a story idea in your head — something you think the media need to write about — create a News Alert on it from your Newspage, seek other views from the Newspage community and, hey presto, we'll get it published. This story on Land Registry delays that ran on the Mail Online and Thisismoney over the weekend was driven by one of our Contributing Editors. She created an alert, other experts added depth and perspective to it, and four Newspagers including the Contributing Editor made it into the article. On each alert you create, your response will be auto-pinned to the top, putting you in pole position and integral to the story. All Contributing Editors are also invited into our Editors WhatsApp group where they can discuss any story ideas they have with our in-house news team in real time.
