I'm searching for case studies of individuals doing clever things to save money on household energy bills… or individuals making big savings on energy around the home by taking simple steps..

Need to be willing to have a quick chat… and give actual savings in £££s…

Case studies also need to be happy to email across a photo of themselves to accompany the article.

Can give businesses a good mention / link within the article.

Tips, tricks and hacks could be….

*laundry tips - eg. choosing eco-setting on your washing machine, making sure you have a full load / pre-treating stains to save energy on trying to remove them / reduce temperature you wash clothes at / keeping the tumbler drier lint and evaporator filters clean

*kitchen energy-saving hacks. eg. only running the dishwasher when it's full / when stacking fridge shelves, keeping it to two thirds full, leaving enough room for cool air to circulate inside / cooking food in the microwave, as opposed to the oven

*taking a shorter shower

*getting your boiler serviced

*turn off radiators in rooms not being used / use the dials on individual radiators to turn the heat down / bleed radiators regularly / put reflective panels behind the radiators / don't cover radiators

*using a simple gadget or gadgets to cut costs - eg. letterbox brushes, shower head, dual-flush, chimney balloon,  lagging pipes

*have installed thermal-lined curtains / put rugs down

*has recently bought an A-rated appliance, eg fridge-freezer, tumble drier, oven etc

*go out for a walk / do exercise to warm up
