Can you pay business funds into cash isa as a sole trader?

Looking to find out whether you can pay business funds into a cash isa if you're a sole trader.

As I understand it, for limited companies you can't do this without first withdrawing the funds from the business, and declaring the income correctly and paying tax. The funds then become your personal funds. But does this also apply to sole traders? Or is this different because your personal and business funds are not separate.

This is a request for a guide for Uswitch. Not my own personal interest.

Sole trader is a self employed person and they do a tax return. You are mistaking ltd company funds where there is a requirement for business accounts and directors tax return with sole trader /self employed earnings which are not ‘company funds’ btw its not like im going to get a mention on the Uswitch platform. I never got any mention when commenting on your Saga alerts. So it is fleecing for knowledge exercise
