Buying a church / chapel - what to be aware of

Sorting a story at the Telegraph on the fact the Church of Scotland is selling hundreds of places of worship over the next few years.

Just after some generic tips on buying a church. What people should be aware of for a seemingly small purchase price, will they have mountains of issues to address? Such as planning change of use, energy performance, heating, etc.

Be great to have a little insight on the pros/cons of buying old religious properties dating back centuries.
