I'm writing an article for the Daily Mail on:
What are the best university towns or cities to invest in as a landlord?
I am interested in hearing professional views from estate agencies / property investors / landlords on what they think the best towns or cities are to invest in?
Which will get you the best return? Which are the most popular with students (so easiest to fill)? Or which are likely to attract good tenants? What is the average yield? Are places in the north generally better than the south due to the cheaper upfront cost?
These are the places offering highest yields, according to a recent survey. Are any estate agents based here and can give their thoughts?

Are there other ways to invest beyond buying a physical property?
