Become a Newspage Contributing Editor — and start driving the news

ended 30. April 2025

Not a day goes by without Newspage powering stories across the world’s leading news media. Via our News Alerts, our experts are quoted widely, from the Daily Telegraph and FT to Sky News and the BBC. We’re now ramping things up. Big time.

We’re empowering more and more of you to become journalists yourselves by creating News Alerts when you think you have a story the media need to write about. You will use our News Alerts to seek views from other relevant business owners, which validates and develops the story, and our team issues the story to all relevant media — whether local, trade or national.

In return for your efforts in identifying a story and creating the News Alert (we’ll teach you how to do that), we’re happy for you to pin your comment to the top. And relax: you don’t need to be a brilliant writer, as our news team are on hand to edit your copy and provide real-time support via our Editors WhatsApp group.

To provide the right training and ensure we move this forward at the right pace, we’re looking for just 10 more Contributing Editors to join our news team. We will accept more from June, when a senior national newspaper editor starts at Newspage HQ.

There is a one-off training and onboarding fee of £300+VAT, which will cover a walkthrough of the News Alert creation process and an evolving set of guidelines. If you start generating alerts that are regularly published by the media, and adhere to our editorial guidelines, the fee will also cover the cost of an official press card (three of our Platinum subscribers already have them). Newspage is an accredited news agency so you’ll effectively become a member of the press — under our umbrella.

Lastly, we’re aware that you’re all business owners with lots going on so there are no requirements to do a certain amount of alerts each day or week. Just do them when you are able to — or want to.

If you’d like to become a Contributing Editor, just reply to this News Alert and say so - we’ll then book your slot and invite you to the Editors group. There will be a number of training slots starting next week.

The mediascape is changing, and we’re inviting you to be a part of that change.

I would be happy to contribute but my interest is in centre right politics. Business is important, and of course it will be covered but my angle will always be centre right (small government, personal responsibility, low taxes, pro-businesses, stories around anti-semetism, and anti-woke topics). As you know, this will bring a lot of bytes and clicks. Much more than writing bland 'Halifax has reduced their 5Y rate to 3.91%' blurb.

I am happy to cover and write on national and international evolving stories.

If this is agreeable with your "values", I am very happy to take the lead on all things political. I will also promote Newspage on my upcoming podcasts.
