Barristers vote to end strike

Criminal barristers in England and Wales have voted to end strike action after accepting a Government pay offer. The Criminal Bar Association (CBA) announced the results of the ballot on Monday after members voted last week. Any views, jot them down ASAP as this story is BREAKING. Barristers were in a position of earning less than minimum wage for some legal aid cases which led to the strike action. Many misunderstood the strike action as Barristers being greedy in relation to overall pay rather than it being led by the decrease in real terms of 28% when carrying out case work for the legal system under legal aid. There will now be a backlog of cases to deal with as Barristers return to work following acceptance of an enhanced Government pay offer to include legal aid work that's currently going through the courts as well as newly referred cases.
