Are you worried about rising rates and your mortgage?

ended 05. August 2022

A journalist at the Mail Online is writing a quick piece today on small business or charity owners who are concerned about their mortgages payments going up. If that's you, please explain why you're worried about higher mortgage payments (perhaps when you come off your current fixed) and the double whammy of high inflation also hitting your household finances. Your business or charity will be name checked as a result. Just a paragraph or two will do.

As founder of start-up eco-children’s brand and social enterprise, It’s Our Planet Too, the current interest rate rises are of great concern both personally and to the business. Our monthly eco-subscription boxes for children are designed to connect children with our precious planet and inspire parents to start conversations with their children. We commit to giving 50% of our profits back to good causes. Despite a positive launch, subscription sign-ups have certainly been hit by the financial pressure that so many families are experiencing. From a personal point of view, we are on a tracker mortgage and have benefited for a number of years from the low base rate but as rates increase, our mortgage payments are increasing each month. Running a start-up business combined with increased energy prices and food is putting huge pressure on our household finances.
