Guy is an experienced investor and developer of energy and infrastructure projects with over a decade in the renewable energy industry. Most recently he was Head of Energy for Blackfinch Investments, a FCA registered fund manager with over £700m of assets under management. At Blackfinch, Guy built and led a team of fifteen people, overseeing the growth of the renewable energy portfolio from 15MW to 150MW within 6 years. This included overseeing the day-to-day commercial, financial, and technical operations of the portfolio valued in excess of £175m with turnover of £16m per annum across 30 project companies. He brings strong experience through all stages of the project life-cycle including development, construction, and operations. In his career he has overseen the construction of 50MW of solar and wind assets, taking the projects from planning consent through to commercial operations. Whilst at Blackfinch he was personally responsible for agreeing £100m in new equity capital commitments across seventeen separate acquisitions as principal and arranging project finance facilities in excess of £200m from four leading institutions. Earlier in his career, Guy spent a decade in various structured finance and private equity roles for Lloyds Banking Group. He has a Masters’ degree in Geography from Cambridge University, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Associate of the Energy Institute.
