We are Kel and Matt, Kanvaswork is our family run business.
With over 15 years experience in making and designing tents, shelters, canopies, luggage and practical accessories we have come to realise that time and time again the beauty and strength of canvas is incomparable as a material.
Being based in Cornwall, we are lucky enough to have the beautiful wild Cornish landscape as our back garden. Having spent a lot of our time out in the elements camping, travelling, helping out with events and socialising we have always owned and used canvas structures; from scout tents to bell tents, bowtop wagons to tarps rigged up in the trees... These spaces have over the years been our homes, our gathering spaces and our tickets to adventure.
When we're not putting up tents or sewing, we are outdoors people through and through.
Matt works in arboriculture and is a tireless advocate for trees and woodlands. He is happiest up a mountain, sailing his little boat or walking our fluffy lurcher, Denzil.
Kel is a keen grower and is passionate about her veg patch! She also loves sea swimming and can often be found shreaking her way into the cold Cornish waves.
