Jacopo Mazzeo is a freelance wine and drinks journalist and consultant.

He has bylines at a number of trade and consumer publications including Harpers Wine & Spirit, Meininger Wine Business International, Wine Enthusiast, Whisky Magazine, Good Beer Hunting, Imbibe, Sommelier Business, Rum Magazine, Gambero Rosso, Great Italian Chefs and SIBA's Independent Brewer Magazine.

His first book, "Getting to know wine", will be published with Newton & Compton in the Autumn.

Jacopo judges and has judged numerous international wine and beer competitions and is currently Director of the British Guild of Beer Writers.

Before he became a freelancer, Jacopo was News Editor at Imbibe, the UK's leading magazine for the on-trade drinks industry and worked as a sommelier, his last role being Head Sommelier at boutique hotel The Pig in England's New Forest.
