I was running on autopilot, in a job that I’d been doing for 14 years, inside a corporation where I’d worked for 33 years. A Covid-19 redundancy changed that. Looking back I realised that I’d most enjoyed building tools that saved me time on the boring, repetitive tasks. If I could do that for me, why couldn’t I do that for others? I love people feeling a sense of relief and a new sense of “being in control” when they discover they can save hours and that they no longer need to dread their admin. It has to be done, but it doesn’t have to be tedious – it can be quick and easy.
