<p>A Derby chiropractor has noticed an 18% increase in Sciatica cases since the first lockdown in 2020.</p><blockquote><p>Since the pandemic began we are seeing many more people working from home, from unsuitable desks, sofas or in some cases even their beds. Working in these environments is having a horrendous impact on peoples spinal health and driving cases of sciatica higher than we've seen before. Since the first lockdown we've seen an 18% rise in the number of sciatica cases between our Derby &amp; Burton-on-Trent chiropractic clinics. In my 12 years of working as a chiropractor I've never known a time where so many are suffering from this debilitating condition. There are a number of ways in which home based desk-workers can reduce the chances of developing sciatica such as: assessing their work space ergonomics, taking regular breaks through the day and gentle stretching routines such as yoga to help keep the lower back supple.</p></blockquote>
