Bea heads up the Article 25 design and construction management team and has overall responsibility for all projects. She holds a Masters degree in architecture from the University of Oregon and has practised as an architect for more than 25 years, leading projects in many countries including the U.S., U.K., France, Portugal, Finland, Mexico, Thailand and Russia while working with HDR, a global architecture and engineering firm. Bea has worked in international development since 2004 and has a passionate commitment for creating health and educational facilities in underprivileged communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She is experienced in the use of native materials and construction techniques to build low-cost, sustainable buildings and infrastructure. She also has a strong interest in the power of architecture and construction as levers capable of transforming the economic and social viability of local communities.
